Island Music is an independently run music shop in the Channel Islands. We a traditional music shop unlike many warehouse music stores spread across Europe. We take pride that all instruments that leave the shop have been inspected and set up to play the best they can. Our customers always have the knowledge that buying local means the after sales service will always continue. Being the only music shop in Jersey we stock an extremely wide range of instruments, accessories and giftware.
Jonathan is the proprietor and has been tuning, repairing and reconditioning pianos for 37 years. Jonathan left the Island at 17 and undertook a three-year apprenticeship with Kemble-Yamaha in Milton-Keynes. During this time he worked in the grand assembly workshop (1977-1980).
Jon established “Scriven’s Piano Centre” in 1989. Sciven’s Piano Centre grew into Island Music, which was renamed in 1997. Still continuing to sell and restore pianos the shop has grown into a diverse music shop. Jon still continues to tune and repair all pianos that come through the shop, rest assure that his experience means he is one of the best in his field. Accompanying Jonathan is a small team based in store with expertise to advise you on anything musical and to help you make the right purchase.
